Almost real wedding Los Angeles (Part 2)

Here are some more images from the the photo shoot we posted last week. Judging from the comments, you guys were interested in the unique floral design and setting. Just to recap, the design is from Artfool, stationery from Ceci, desserts from Vanilla Bake Shop, venue was Marvimon and the images are from Chris Humphreys. These images are higher resolution than usual, I apologize if they take time to load.

I know I've been slow with the posting recently. All of this holiday cheer can be very time consuming. This week I plan to post a follow up to our photo shoot as well as a new wedding. Almost real wedding Los Angeles

So these images are not from a real wedding, but rather a photo shoot we produced for Bride & Bloom magazine. Along with Matthew Robbins from Artfool we created a distinctive Cuban vibe. The lush green flowers provided a colorful and exotic backdrop for the unique stationery designed by Ceci and desserts by the fabulous Amy Berman of Vanilla Bake Shop . The venue was Marvimon, which is a unique loft-type space designed for special events in downtown Los Angeles. The photos are courtesy of the amazing Chris Humphreys.

Great looking new photography blogs

We recently stumbled across Whitney Deal's blog. Whitney is a photographer and designer from North Carolina.  We don't know her personally, but her images are simple and beautiful. Check out the site for  inspiration. Here are some images from her blog.  Love that it is of Franklin St in Chapel Hill, as we are on Franklin St in Manhattan! The blog is new, and we look forward to seeing more work in the future.

Relais & Chateaux

I've had two posts this week and they were both about large estates that are perfect for weddings. There are many great boutique hotels and resorts all over the country, and Relais & Chateaux is one of my favorite places to find new venues and places to stay. Every resort chosen is so unique.  The location provides so much of an events character.  We were recently discussing that we actually based the size of our own wedding on which venue we chose.  I always accompany my posts with images, but there are so many fantastic locations I can't even begin to chose one.  Just head to their site to find your destination. The images below are from Castle Hill in Newport, one of our favorites.  And, they have the MOST amazing cookies!

Blantyre

So, I went to a wedding at Oheka Castle over the weekend, and I was thinking that it reminded me a bit of the Blantyre. Don't get me wrong, some of my readers must be thinking they are distinctly different. The Blantyre is a bit more country and distinctly modeled after a Scottish Mansion, whereas, Oheka a slightly more formal French-style chateau. The Blantyre is where we had our rehearsal dinner, largely due to its proximity to our wedding venue. It is a fatastic venue located in the Berkshires. Below are some images of the estate.

Oheka Castle

Over this weekend we had the pleasure of attending a friends wedding at Oheka Castle in Huntington, NY. The venue is a French-style chateau with huge, gorgeous grounds. Since the event was just two days ago, we don't have any photos just yet, but below are a few pictures of Oheka Castle, go to their site for more.

Minna Designs

I wanted to introduce everyone to Minna Designs. I have recently been speaking Minna Keum, the owner, and I wanted to showcase some of her work on our blog. Minna is a former bride-to-be, she became so interested in designing her own stationery, she decided to make a business out of it. Minna specializes in letterpress, offset, embossing, foil stamping, engraving, and digital. They have a beautiful website you should check out. Fantastic work from Artfool

I was checking out the blogosphere and I went to Artfool's blog. They had some images from an event Carrie produced in Greenwich, CT. We posted some of this event back in September, but the images we put together did no justice to the quality of Matthew's work. These are some absolutely stunning arrangements. Real wedding Westchester (Part 2)

Here are some more images from an event Carrie produced this past summer. The venue was Monteverde at Oldstone Manor, which is located in northern Westchester. Matthew Robbins from Artfool was the designer. Jason Walz provided the images. There are tons of images coming in from our summer and fall events, I will continue to post as we sort through them all.
